1. Introduction to the Temperature Cap

The Temperature Cap is an advanced product manufactured by VIJAYA SAI DIP MOULDING VIETNAM CO., LTD. It helps detect temperature changes at the electrical terminal lug. Made from soft PVC with thermal sensing capability, the cap changes color according to the temperature level of the terminal lug.

When the temperature rises beyond the safe threshold, the cap gradually turns milky white, allowing users to detect and address issues promptly.

Once the issue is resolved, the cap may either return to its original color or remain milky white, depending on the product type.

2. Types of Temperature Caps

VIJAYA offers three types of temperature caps to meet different needs:

2.1. Color-Reversible Temperature Cap (THERMAL / THERMO CAP)

• Changes color from its original shade to milky white when the temperature of the terminal lug increases to 55℃ ~ 75℃.
• When the temperature returns to normal, the cap reverts to its original color.
• Helps easily monitor the condition of the terminal lug.

The cap changes to a milky white color when the temperature rises from 55℃ to 75℃.

2.2. Semi-Transparent Color-Reversible Temperature Cap (SEMI-CAP)

• Functions like the THERMO CAP, changing color to milky white when the temperature rises to 55℃ ~ 75℃.
• However, part of the cap remains transparent, allowing users to observe the crimping and connection state, ensuring the terminal lug is properly tightened.

The cap changes to a milky white color when the temperature rises from 55℃ to 75℃.

2.3. Non-Reversible Temperature Cap (IRREVERSIBLE CAP)

• When the terminal lug’s temperature rises to 55℃ ~ 75℃, the cap turns milky white.
• Does not revert to its original color, even after the temperature returns to normal.
• Helps quickly identify terminal lugs that have experienced overheating issues.
• An advanced version of the temperature cap for long-term monitoring.

3. Technical Specifications

• Material: Soft PVC with thermal sensing capability.
• Color Options: Red, blue, yellow, green, brown, gray, etc. (customizable).
• Operating Temperature Range: -5℃ ~ 90℃.
• Thermal Activation Temperature: 55℃ ~ 75℃.

Warning Levels:

• Level 1 (Normal): The cap retains its original color at temperatures below 55℃.
• Level 2 (Warning): The cap turns semi-milky white at temperatures between 55℃ ~ 75℃.
• Level 3 (Dangerous): The cap turns completely milky white at temperatures above 75℃.

Color Reversibility:

• THERMO CAP: Reversible color change.
• SEMI-CAP: Reversible, with a semi-transparent section.
• IRREVERSIBLE CAP: Non-reversible color change.

4. Compatible Cable Lug Sizes:
